My
old man, Steve Pannell, has written a manual to assist folks with no prior
computer training to become computer literate. The manual was inspired
by me, and is, therefore, named after me. In it, folks learn about
computer concepts, the Windows operating system, the Internet, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Access. But the best part of the manual is that folks
get to meet me. I'm kinda the star of the manual. As you can
see from the endorsements listed below, it is a well-respected publication.
ENDORSEMENTS
"A witty and clever
guide to computer literacy. I've learned all I know about humorous
writing from reading Dozer's Quintessential Guide To Computer Literacy.
Dozer is as clever as Tom Sawyer and he's every bit the jokester that Huck
Finn was. I think Tom and Huck would have loved having a friend like
Dozer."
--M. Twain
"I used to be horrified
by the very thought of using a computer. They generated a considerable
amount of panic and dread filling me with fantastic terrors never felt before.
The shear terror of the prospects of working on a computer created such
feelings of anxiety that I avoided them for years. Now that I have
read and followed the step-by-step instructions in Dozer's Quintessential
Guide To Computer Literacy, I am no longer fearful of computers. In
fact, sometimes I sit in the dark and feel a sense of security as the glow
of the monitor illuminates my desktop."
--E.A. Poe
"I fell in love with
Dozer. I did not know that canines could use computers until I pawed
through Dozer's Quintessential Guide To Computer Literacy. Now that
I know he can be a cyberdog, I know that there is hope for me to do likewise.
Thanks to Dozer for showing me the way."
--R. T. Tin
"Computers were somewhat
puzzling to me-- a real enigma – until I read Dozer's Quintessential
Guide To Computer Literacy. Even Dr. Watson could learn a thing or
two from this manual. In fact, if he were to learn how to use
a computer, perhaps he'd quit coming by my home on Baker Street with his constant
annoyances."
--S. Holmes
"Me life hath been
a tragedy as I have endured many a misfortune due to my lack of computer
skills. When I thinketh of how many additional plays I could have written
if I had only learned to throw away my quill and replace it with a word processor,
it maketh me sad, indeed. I'm reminded of what I once wrote: ‘we know
what we are, but know not what we may be'. And me thinkest I could
have been computer literate. Me recommendation to you: Carefully study
Dozer's Quintessential Guide To Computer Literacy so you won't maketh the
same mistake I did."
--W. Shakespeare
"Dozer's Quintessential
Guide To Computer Literacy motivated me to learn about computers. I
have always thought that a penny saved is a penny earned. And, now,
I believe that an hour using a computer is an investment in myself that
is, without a doubt, unequaled in its return in benefits."
--B. Franklin
"It's a succinct, concise,
pithy guide. No wasted words. It truly is the ‘Quintessential'
guide that it purports to be."
--E. Hemingway
"An efficient and economical
guide to computer literacy."
--A. Smith
"As I've said before,
‘books are the treasured wealth of the world' and Dozer's Quintessential
Guide To Computer Literacy is proof of the accuracy of that statement.
Simplistic in its approach to computer literacy"
--H. D. Thoreau
